Did you see our Seagrass ottoman on Grand Designs?
Did you see the Gardeners Bothy featured on Grand Designs recently? What a fantastic house and what a fantastic ottoman sitting pretty in the beautiful living room! Yes, it’s one of ours and I made it as a bespoke piece for owners Jenny and Iain. When collaborating with Jenny on the design and fabric, she said they wanted to go for a slightly Scandi feel. I suggested a muted seagrass coloured wool, which also fits perfectly well with the hand-turned beech legs. I love the way Jenny and Iain have mixed a classically modern style with the addition of a few older pieces such as the bureau and the antique fuchsia seat. The nearly unseen lamp in the front left corner is a real gem.

How we make our ottomans
Every now and then I like to remind myself why these ottomans are different.
You might not have noticed the beautifully curved corners but they’re different to all the other ottomans out there. Go on, have a Google. Most have hard corners because they’re cheaper to make. Other ottomans look very similar to each other. Look closer, this one is different…
